I was thinking, for maybe the shape of roofs on houses, maybe using a leaf as an inspiration. I mean, leaves are designed for the water to flow through the veins and then the excess falls off all from a certain point. What if we could use that knowledge and design a roof after it? Small veins running through the roof that transport the rainwater to a specific point so that all the water can be captured and used (rainwater collecting systems, ponds, etc.) And maybe, since when the water from the leaves fall off, they land among the roots of that particular plant, that could also be implemented in the roof design.
